Jean Alston was born in November 7, 1946 in Queens, New York to Florine Woods and Jesse Betts. She transitioned from the world on October 10, 2018 in Christiana, Delaware. Jean was raised in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School in Richmond, Virginia. She decided to get on the "love train" and head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1968, Jean gave birth to her son, Antonio Robinson. A few years later, she moved to Delaware. Jean was a member of Local 1183 and retired from Chrysler in 2005. Jean enjoyed working night shift at the auto plant. Jean was warm hearted and enjoyed spending time with her family. She would have lengthy telephone conversations with her family and friends. She would stay abreast of all family issues always willing to be the family mediator. Jean would welcome and entertain all her family and friends. Her kindness kept the family visits to Delaware fun and entertaining. Jean enjoyed cooking and hosting for family and friends. During her free time, she enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels. Most of all, Jean enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos. Jean was proceed in death by her mother, Florine Woods and father, Jesse Betts and brother, David Artis. Jean leaves her loving companion, Thomas Green, who she called "Greene", her son, Antonio Robinson (Gwendel), her siblings, Leroy Downey, Ida Hill (Jerome), Linwood Meekins, Charmaine Meekins (Wayne), and her grandchildren, Lil Glenn, Antonio DeAndre and Alita Gwendel and a host of other relatives and friends.
