Jaqueline Paulette Delaney

Jacqueline Paulette Delaney, daughter of the late Florence B. Burns and Paul J. Burns, Sr., was born on November 9, 1951 in Wilmington, Delaware. She passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022 at her home in New Castle, Delaware.

Jacqueline Delaney (Jackie) received her early childhood education from Delaware Public Schools and graduated from Delawarr High School and Goldey-Beacom College. After graduating, she enlisted in the Army and retired after 28 years of service.

Jackie was a faithful member of Ezion Fair Baptist Church and member of The Eastern Star of Bethlehem Chapter #8. Jackie had many hobbies, but loved sewing, watching CNN and spending time with her family and friends.

Jacqueline (Jackie) was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Delaney, sister Ida M. Webb-Tymes, nephew Sherrod C. Burns and grandsons Leroy Collins, Jr. and Brandon Jackson.

Jacqueline (Jackie) is survived by her daughters Stacy Y. Ebanks and Genoa L. Jackson-Corbin, sister Carolyn E. Markland, brother Paul J. Burns, Jr., stepdaughter Ruby Bailey, nieces Deborah Holden, Christine Tymes, Sherrhonda Williams, Michelle Crompton, Jessica D. Burns and Florence A. Burns, nephews Jimmy Tymes and Sherrod Williams, I, sons-in-law Linval J. Ebanks and Russell Corbin, sisters-in-law Maybelle (Diane) Delaney and Margaret Burns, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
