Janet Mary Crowder

Janet Mary Crowder, 74, of Clayton, passed away January 28th, 2021 at Kent County Hospital in Dover, Delaware. Janet was born in Kent County Rhode Island on August 8th 1946 to William & Mary Martel. Janet grew up in West Warwick Rhode Island graduating from West Warwick High School in 1964. Janet went to Johnson and Wales to be a court stenographer obtaining her certificate of completion in 1965. Janet went on to have a very successful career in Banking becoming an operations officer with Wachovia Bank. Janet retired in 2003. Survivors include Janet's' two children Rick with his fianc Denia and Tammy with her husband Bob, her adopted daughter Becky, her Grandchildren Shelby with Ethan and her Mom Brenda & Brian with his wife Trina, and her 3 great grandchildren Seth, Madison, and Ajah and her best friends Sue & Nancy. Janet enjoyed traveling and together with her husband traveled throughout North America in their Motor home. In the summers their trips were extra special with their daughter Tammy and their granddaughter Shelby tagging along building memories that will carry on. Janet's true love was her Dog's and her passion was to help dog's locked in shelters across America. Her wish was to ask her loved ones not for flowers but for a donation to her favorite cause American Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals (ASPCA.org).
