James Saleem Chester

Saleem, age 35, was born to James and Sabrina Chester on

September 17, 1987 in Orange, NJ. He departed this life on Thursday

March 9, 2023 in Middletown Delaware.

Saleem attended Winslow Township, NJ public schools and graduated

from Winslow High School. During his childhood and teenage years

Saleem loved to play football and possessed the talent and

determination to excel as an offensive lineman. However, after

suffering severe injuries in an automobile accident, prior to his senior

year of high school, his desire to explore how far he could go playing

football was put on the sideline.

After high school Saleem worked and attended Camden County

College on a part-time basis. During that time the employment that he

found most satisfying and that brought out the compassionate and

empathetic person he was, was his work with developmentally

challenged individuals at Archway Programs in Atco, NJ.

After moving to Delaware Saleem decided to become a professional

commercial driver and obtained a CDL Class- A Tractor Trailer

certification. He then worked for Heritage Concrete, Schneider

National and lastly Coraluzzo Fuel Delivery.

Saleem is survived by Sabrina and James Chester his mother and

father, sisters Sharifah Chester Hilton (Rodney) Rafiah Chester

Broomer (Thomas), nephews Davon James Chester Reid (Anisah)

Rodney E. Hilton III and Joshua Jamir Hilton, great-niece Aaleyah

Love Chester and great-nephew Ahmer Ali Chester, aunts Melonese

Austin, Sandra Renee Manning, Alisia Hughes and Elonda Ments and
