James Arlington "Bear" Perkins

was born on May 11, 1950 in Chestertown Maryland and departed this life for his heavenly home on January 15, 2015 at Parkview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington Delaware. James was the son of the late Anna Elizabeth Hackett Perkins and Edward Sylvester Perkins Sr.. James is survived by two sons, Derek Gooden of Phila. PA and Jacevius Dumpson of Wilm., DE; one daughter, Breanna Kay Perkins of San Diego, CA; 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 1 aunt, Rebecca Turner of Chestertown MD; sister, Rosie M. Perkins Herbert of Clayton, DE, Arlivia Perkins Holland of Wilm. DE, Odessa Perkins Christy of Harrington, DE; brother, George Perkins and sister- in-laws Edith Perkins of Mobile, AL and Margaret A. Perkins of Chestertown MD; brother- in- laws, Samuel Holland of Belvedere DE, Jackie E Herbert Sr. of Clayton, DE and Dennis Christy of Warwick, MD and a host of nieces , nephews and cousins. James was also preceded by 2 brothers, Edward S. Perkins Jr. and Clarence A. Perkins, and a very special niece, Debra R. Exum (Penny).
