Jacqueline Ann Williams was born on August 5, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY to Bernice and Robert McBride. Jacqueline departed this life on May 23rd, 2020 at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE.
Jackie received her elementary and middle school education in the NYC Public School System. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School after high school she worked as an executive assistant at National West Bank in New York City until she moved to Columbus, Georgia where she resided until she moved to Marietta, Georgia. She had relocated to Middletown, Delaware about two years ago to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Jackie was woman who embodied the full meaning of a Christian soul. She was a kind and loving person. Rarely would anyone see her angry. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She attended church as often as she could. Her bible was always near her and she read passages regularly. She always greeted people with a wave and a warm smile, even a little giggle. As a teenager and young adult, she was a member of the drill team of a drum and bugle band in Brooklyn, NY. She was fun loving and enjoyed music and dancing. She liked listening to Christian music as well as contemporary music. She loved to sew and was an excellent baker and cook. A skill she passed along to her granddaughter Nya.
Jackie was the loving mother of Symone Evans. Loving and precious Grandmother to Keyvonte Beasley and Nya Evans. She was so proud of them. They could always talk to her about anything. She would spoil them, be silly with them and play with them as if she were one of their peers. She would also be stern with them and get down to business with them when she had to. She loved telling them stories.
Jackie was preceded from this life by her parents Bernice and Robert, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Symone Evans, grandchildren Keyvonte Beasley and Nya Evans and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
