Isreal Mcnair

December 11, 1935 — August 2, 2019

Mr. Isreal McNair, age 83, of Waynesboro, GA went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2019. Mr. McNair was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country honorably. After serving 20 years of military service in the United States Air Force, SSgt. Isreal McNair retired in 1974 at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. He went on to work and retired as Staff Lieutenant from Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. Mr. McNair is survived by three siblings: Edward McNair (Maxine), Mae Dorothy Phillips and Mishaun Jenkins, and by six children: Errol J. Brown Sr., Angelia Lynette McNair, Yvette T. McNair, Darryl W. McNair, Alesia D. McNair and Isreal A. McNair. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Tiffany Sirmans, Priscilla Sirmans, Chrishayla Brown, Errol J. Brown Jr., Vonetta McNair, Donte' Armstrong, Tia Armstrong, Alexander Lohmann, Michael McNair and DeShawn McNair and 23 great grandchildren. Mr. McNair was a consummate professional and avid Jazz musician who loved playing the congas and drums. His hobbies included listening to jazz music, writing music lyrics, journaling, and visiting Delaware Park. He will be remembered for his impressive stylish wardrobe, sociable personality, and as someone who loved to talk to people and have fun.
