Councilman Robinson started a "Claim Your Block Campaign" to clean up and take back control of the neighborhoods as well as "Light Up The Block" campaign for safer neighborhoods. Eric served as a member of the Public Safety, Housing and Licenses & Inspections, and Public Works & Transportation Committees of Council. He will also be remembered by many for leading the effort for the design and installation of the Clifford Brown statute in Kirkwood Park just blocks from where the great jazz musician lived. Prior to serving on City Council, Mr. Robinson was President of the 11th Street Bridge Civic Association and President of the 3rd District Neighborhood Planning Council. Councilman Robinson is survived by his wife Rosa Robinson, his son Eric, a grandson Eric II and a great grandson Chad, as well as Rosa's two sons, Taj and Randy, and two granddaughters Kiarra and Candice.
