Holly C. Jefferson Kennedy

October 2, 1962 — March 16, 2019

Holly grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated from
Wilmington High School. Afterward, she left to attend college at
Morgan State University in Maryland. She then enlisted into the Army
branch of the military, which took her all the way to Tacoma,
Washington, where she met her husband.
Holly discharged from the military and moved to her husband's
hometown in Fort Mitchell, Alabama to begin their family.
She had lived there for a little over a decade, when the family moved
to live in her hometown of Wilmington. She transferred her federal
government job to Philadelphia in 1998, and continued working her way up the career ladder. She retired from the Social Security Administration in August 2018 after more than 20 years of service. Holly was always one to speak her mind - right, wrong, or indifferent.
But she was one of the most caring, kind, and unselfishly giving
women you could ever know. She loved her friends and family so
much and was always there to give a helping hand when she could.
While she liked to shop and loved to travel any chance she got, she
also enjoyed her private time reading and listening to jazz. Holly is preceded in death by her mother, Frances A Jefferson; four
brothers: Wendell (Pete) Jefferson, Michael Hall, Matthew (Kenny)
Jefferson, and Victor Jefferson. One Sister: Brenda Hall.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Kennedy of Fort Mitchell,
Alabama. Her two, loving daughters: Rashanda Kennedy and Alleshia
Kennedy - both of Wilmington, Delaware. Two sisters: Linda C Hall
and Yvonne Kannady (Davis); two brothers: Carlton (Carbie)
Jefferson and Earl Jefferson - All of whom are of Wilmington,
Delaware. Her father, Matthew Kannady of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
