Herman "Spark" Wilson, age 70 of New Castle, DE passed away on September 27, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Herman graduated from De La Warr High School in 1970 and for a short time played collegiate basketball for Maryland State College. He worked as a Longshoreman for Local 1694 at the Port of Wilmington, Delaware for 23 years; and recently worked as a Security Guard for BPG.
Herman enjoyed watching old westerns and was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan! He loved good food and always looked forward to the occasional Sunday dinner with his sisters, Joyce and Paula, and brother-in-law, Bernard.
Herman was the son of the late Ruth C. Simpson and Earl F. Wilson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Earl Wilson, Timothy Wilson, and Elgin Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, a son, Javon Spencer, Sr.(Carlene); two sisters, Joyce Vega (Bernard), and Paula Simpson; two grandsons, Javon "Jaz" Spencer, Jr. and Jordan Spencer; a God Daughter, Robin Baldwin (Robert), an aunt; Jacqueline Selby, a devoted friend, Mesheryl "Meme" Miller; a long-time buddy, Allen Jones, a former spouse, Helen Matthews, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
