Helen E. Henry (Bunky), the oldest daughter of Mary E. Granberry and the late Charles Granberry, Sr., was born on June 5, 1942 in West Chester, PA. She departed this life on November 27, 2009 at Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Helen received her education in the Chester County School System and soon thereafter was employed for 10 years at the BrynMawr Hospital as a Private Duty Nurse. She then moved on to the Department of Public Welfare in Chester, PA as a Case Worker for 15 years. Helen retired but again joined the work force as a Program Manager for Community Systems, Inc in Newark, DE. In 1997, Helen permanently retired and concentrated on assisting in raising her grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. Helen enjoyed traveling, cooking and had a "green thumb" when maintaining her many house plants. She was a warm and caring person who was loved by everyone she met. At an early age, Helen was baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, PA where she continued to fellowship for many years. While living in Newark, DE, Helen continued worship at Spirit Life Ministries International. Helen was preceded om her homecoming by her husband, James; daughters, Mary and Marcia; and brother, Stacey Miller-Granberry. Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Michelle Henry; mother, Mary Granberry; 4 sisters, Elanor Bowman, Stella Blackstine, Patricia Harris and Barbara Granberry; 3 brothers, Charles Granberry, Jr., Ty Granberry, Shawn Granberry; 2 grandchildren, Shakira and Shamar Whitakerr; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other nieces and nephews.
