Gregory West

Gregory David West was born on February 5, 1963, in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Dennett Lindo and the late Catherine West. Gregory passed on December 19, 2022, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Gregory received his early education in the Wilmington Public School system and later graduated from Thomas McKean High School where he played football. After graduating, Gregory joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon discharge from the military, he continued his journey working as a Sous Chef in various restaurants in Wilmington, Delaware. Gregory loved cooking, every genre of music, and the animal kingdom.

In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Laws; his brother, Jerome Thomas and his sister-in-law, Centraldenise West.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Tina Laws (mother, Paulette Laws); brothers: Leon West, Franklin (Lynn) West; Eugene (Victoria) West, Dennett (Darla) West, Steven West, Jeffrey West; sisters: Brenda McManus, Carol West, Phyllis Robinson, Marsha Boyce, Anita West, Denise West, Doreen (Reginald) Cooper, Kathy West; his devoted partner Tonya Younger; brothers-in-law Ulysses McManus and Ronald Boyce, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.

Gregory was a beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
