Gladys A. Brown

GLADYS BROWN Was born on November 13, 1937 to the late Walter and Elnora Etheridge in Chicago, IL. She departed this life on September 28, 2006. Gladys was a graduate of Howard High School. She was affiliated with New Galilee Baptist Church. Gladys worked as a Kitchen Aide at Absalom Jones Senior Center until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by a son, Jeffrey Brown; sister, Lawanda Etheridge; brothers, Willie, David, Dennis and Ronnie Steward and a devoted friend, JC. Gladys leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Damita Jo Brown; sons, Nelson E. Jr., Karl, Kendall and John Brown; brother, Robert Etheridge; grandchildren, Jonda, Georgina, Demetrius and Shanna Brown, Nelson III, Nelson IV, Saqui K.E.
