Georgette Diana Summers affectionately known as Getta age 49, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, surrounded by family and friends.

Getta graduated from Hodgson Vo-Tech in 1993 with her certification in early childhood education. After graduation while furthering her education through Del-Tech Community College and Wilmington College she worked at Building Blocks Daycare. During her time at Building Blocks Daycare, she formed a special relationship with her boss Thomas Bradford and several others.
In 2005 she met the love of her life, the late Vernon Summers. They married July 12, 2008, and through this union their daughter Madisynn Summers was born. She was the sunshine of their lives.

Georgette was employed by Comcast for 22 years. During her years at Comcast, she held many roles and created many lasting friendships. Also, she recently worked at The Doghouse part-time until her health failed.
Georgette loved the Lord and when her mother Pastor Margaret Johnson and her father the late Dr. Alton Johnson started their ministry, she didn’t hesitate to open up her home. She attended Mount Zion Gospel Church for 12 years as the church secretary and the head of the hospitality ministry. Her home was open for all souls to attend service and have a high time in the Lord. She was also a member of Warriors for Christ ministries.
