George R. Dorsey was born on January 22nd, 1957, to his late parents Margaret E. Dorsey and James R. Dorsey. He passed on Thursday, May 27th, 2021, at home in Wilmington, DE.
George received his education at Wilmington High School. After high school, he worked various jobs including sanitation for The City of Wilmington and Concord Beverage. George was once again employed by the City of Wilmington assisting with the West Center City cleanup project. He enjoyed going to the park, watching sports and his old-time movies. He also was the family's babysitter. He loved all the kids.
George was preceded in death by his late mother Margaret Dorsey, and later father James R. Dorsey, brother Albert Spicer, sister Karen Burgess, his nephew, Quinton Dorsey, and niece Doris Dorsey. George is survived by his children Anthony Laws, Dina Laws and Sharina Laws, his sisters and brothers Frances Dorsey, Ronald Dorsey, Eva Pinkey (Henry Jr.), Kevin Dorsey (Kathy), Earl Dorsey, Duncan Dorsey (Doris), Gloria Dorsey, David Dorsey, and Gail Dorsey, Parris Dorsey. His grandchildren Anthony Laws Jr. (Celine), William Berry Jr., Yasir Laws, and Hector Negron, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. Previous Events
