With heavy hearts, the family of George "Binkey" Shelton, announces his passing on February 3, 2023. Binkey, a resident of Sayreville, NJ, lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication.


Born on March 10, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Binkey was the son of Richard N. Kelly and Sarah E. Shelton. Though he was predeceased by his parents, his legacy lives on through his five children: Darin Shelton, Daryl Shelton, Venus Clark, Bria Brown, and Bryce Shelton.


Binkey was a multifaceted individual whose impact was felt by many. As a proud father, musician, and professional in Pharmaceutical Management, Binkey was loved and respected for his warm personality, kind heart, and infectious laughter.


His love for jazz and R&B music was immense, and he could often be found jamming to the sounds of Frankie Beverly, George Benson, and Chaka Khan. Beyond music, Binkey was a world traveler who sought out new experiences, relishing in the local cuisine and immersing himself in different cultures.


As an avid Cowboys fan, Binkey was a true sports enthusiast, delighting in the thrill of competition and cheering on his favorite team through their wins and losses.


Binkey will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren, as well as his colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. To celebrate his life, a celebration of life will be held in his honor, where family and friends can gather to share memories and pay tribute to his well-lived life.
