Life Story

George A. McLeish Jr. was born on February 18, 1979 in Wilmington, Delaware to George and Rochelle McLeish. He passed away peacefully on March 28, 2021, at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.

George received his early education in the Brandywine School District. As a child, George enjoyed participating in various sports and playing video games with his siblings. In 1998, he graduated from Howard High School of Technology. During his time at Howard, George excelled as a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team and was always admired by his peers for his witty sense of humor and stylish attire. He was even voted "best dressed" in his senior year. After graduating, George became employed by Arlon Silicone Technologies and Amazon.

In his spare time, George enjoyed shopping for clothes and sneakers, watching sports and spending time with his family and loved ones. He always lived by the motto "when you look good, you feel good." George also had a love for luxury foreign cars with his favorite being the BMW.

George was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He would give his last to anyone he loved and care about. He greeted everyone with his beautiful smile and positive spirit. Through his many medical challenges, George always remained encouraged and never complained. He was a fighter and took every obstacle in stride.

George was preceded in death by his father George A. McLeish Sr.; mother Rochelle McLeish; grandparents Joseph and Bernice Godwin.

George is survived by his siblings-Brian Billings, Jason McLeish and Joseph McLeish; uncle, Robert Billings; aunt, Linda Ingram; nieces, Destiny Murray and Kaylee McLeish; nephew, Brandon Harris and other family and friends.
