Genevieve F. "Genny" Lewis

May 5, 1967 — February 21, 2019

Genevieve or "Genny" as we called her was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many people who loved her. A loving companion who will be missed by many. Genevieve was the fourth of five children born in 1967 to Norbert and Daphne Fauconier. Genevieve was born in Trinidad and Tobago where she attended St. Crispins E.C School, Febeau Government, and Romily's Private School elementary schools. From there she went on to attend Providence, St. Francois Girls and Holy Name High schools. Genevieve later emigrated to the United states in 1986 where she attended Howard University there she met her then husband Ronald Lewis. She later graduated from Temple University in 1985 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Genevieve worked at Bennigans, Lowes Cinema in Crystal City, and as an Occupational therapist for both the geriatric and pediatric populations. Genevieve loved her dogs, playing with them and watching them eat apples off the tree itself. Above all she loved throwing her July 4th Bash! Elated to greet each guest as they arrived. She loved being surrounded by family. Her favorite song was Sugar Bum Bum. Genevieve was brave, hardworking and ambitious, once she focused on something she would persist till the end. Her favorite foods were stewed chicken, spicy curry and crab cakes.Deeply saddened by her passing, she leaves to mourn Tyron Thomas, her sons Marceau, Ronald and Jordan, siblings Wendell, Kathleen, Norman and Douglas, her parents Daphne and Norbert Fauconier and her nieces Morgan and Jessie and nephews, Menelik, Yesahaq, Ian, Zachary and Seyni. A loving companion who will be missed by many cousins, aunts, uncle and friends.
