Ernie R. Cole passed away suddenly in Wilmington, DE. He was the son of Ernie R. Horsey and Cynthia Cole, also the stepson of Velma M. Horsey. Ernie was born October 9, 1971. He departed this life on October 2, 2011 in Delaware. He indeed was a native Delawarean. Ernie received his early education at George Gray Elementary School; continuing on to Forward and P. S. DuPont. He received his vocational training at Howard High School. At an early age he became a member of United Independent Methodist Church, under the pastorate of Rev. Lester L. Gordy and was baptized during his attendance. Ernie was united in matrimony on February 14, 1991 to Tracy L. Kennedy and to this union, two daughters born, Cynthia L. Cole and Aleeza E. Cole; he raised a stepdaughter, Cecilia M. Kennedy. His career was an automobile mechanic and truck driver. For pass time he enjoyed a bit of art, such as drawing and designing cars, spending time with his grandparents, family and traveling. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Tracy L. Cole; 2 daughters, Cynthia L. Cole and Aleeza E. Cole; 1 step-daughter Cecilia M. Kennedy; a grandmother, who raised him, Evangelist Eunice Elizabeth Horsey and a host of step sisters, brothers, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and special friends and family.
