Ernestine L. Parker-Lee was born on June 27, 1951 in Wilmington, DE to Ethel Parker and Ernest Thomas. She passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home with her loved ones in West Hartford, CT. "Tina" received her GED from James Groves Education School. Afterwards she worked at Wilmington Head Start for 20 years. She also worked at The Parent Center for several years. After leaving her two jobs she opened her own home daycare. She received her diploma in childcare from Deltech Community College. Ernestine was a faithful member of Be Ready Jesus is Coming Church. She had many hobbies and enjoyed teaching children, spending time with family and going to church. One of he favorite past times was sneaking downstairs to peek at her Christmas gifts, but she always got caught by her mother. Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband Berndine Lee, Sr.; son, Berdine Lee, Jr.; mother, Ethel L. Parker; father, Ernest Thomas; sister, Valora Brown and brother, Joseph Parker. Ernestine is survived by her children, David Lee, Darnell Lee and Yvette Lee Tate all from Wilmington, De.; Shaun Lee of Bear, De.; Lottete Lee of Salem, NJ; Mercedes Lee of West Hartfort, CT.; siblings, Richard Parker of Smyrna, De.; Pastor Lottie Lee Davis of Wilmington, De.; Emanual DeSheilds of Wilmington, De.; 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
