Edward Bernard Fleming (40), peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 26th. Born in Wilmington, DE to Hattie Mae Fleming and Issac James Handy. Edward received his Education at Howard Career Center and enlisted in the United States Marines in 1987. He has held several positions in the culinary industry, ranging from Chef to Kitchen Management. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Jesse and Marie Fleming, his son, Edward Bernard Jr., his biological father, Issac James Handy, his Father-in-law and Brother-in-law, David R. Benson Sr. & Jr. Left to forever cherish his memory are his Wife, Linda Benson-Fleming of Wilmington; 4 daughters, Latyra Person, Edaesia and Niahsia Fleming of Wilmington, and Carissa Barnhart of Bear; 5 sons, Kyron Fleming of Bear, Sirron and Kadeem Benson, Elyaas Benson (Fleming) and Nikkao Fleming, all of Wilmington; his mother and his "Pop" Hattie Mae and Salters Brown, both of Wilmington; 4 brothers, Issac Fleming [wife, Jalpurnia] of Bear, Antonio and Daquan Brown of Wilmington and Salters Brown Jr. of Panama City, FL; 3 sisters, Carolyn Fleming of Newark, Myshika Brown of Wilmington, and Cheryl Ford of Alexander, VA; his Mother-in-law, Gladys Benson of Wilmington, a beloved Aunt and Uncle, Diane Brown and Pastor, Lonnie Fleming , a devoted nephew, Jesse Fleming, all of Wilmington; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
