Edith Isabel Williams

Edith Isabel "Bell" Williams was born on May 17, 1927 to Geraldine Callendar and Alberto Griffith in Panama City, Panama. She is one of 3 siblings, sister Elena Pinnock (deceased) and brother, Leonard Griffith. On May 12, 2021, in Orlando, Florida, God called Edith home.

As a young adolescent, Edith worked at the commissary in Balboa as a cashier. She worked at La Mascota sewing sweatshop. Edith was so inspired that she attended an Institute of Arts & Crafts where she further her knowledge in more sewing, cooking, baking, and decorating of pastries and cakes. Edith loved crocheting and bowling and as a teenager she participated in many bowling tournaments. In 1949, at age 22, Edith married John W. Williams (deceased) in the city of Panama.

Edith was the 3rd oldest faithful member of Bethel Pentecostal Church, of Wilmington Delaware, and served as a member of the senior choir, under the leadership of Bishop James Odell White Sr.

Edith leaves her sister Elena Pinnock (preceded in death), and one living brother Leonard Griffith. She mourns her children Maria V. Williams, Rafael O. Williams (Veronica), Yolanda I. Williams, Eneida J. Skinner (Charles), Angel W. Williams (Betzaida) and Alfredo Brown (Elisa); 13 grandchildren; Kimberley Mahadeo, Orlando R. Myrie Jr., Jasmin C. Myrie, Herminia M. Williams, Tami Williams, Keyanna Williams, Anthony Rooke, Jasmin M. Williams, Oneida Fletcher, Charles E. Skinner Jr., Alex Skinner, Felisha Williams and Angel W. Williams Jr. (deceased),; 14 great-grandchildren, Javiarre Watkins II, Jaseir Watkins II, Elijah Williams, Aniquiana Kurtz, Marcus Mason, Tatiana Nicole Williams, Emma Williams, Elishah Fletcher, Omar Fletcher, Erica Fletcher, Shannon Skinner, Journey Skinner, Elanie Natalia Coles and Amaya Coles and a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, extended church family and friends.
