Eddie Franklin Bateman

Eddie Franklin Bateman, also known as (Bubba) by family and friends, he was second eldest child born on September 9th 1936 in Hemingway South Carolina To the Late Eddie Bateman And Creola Washington-Bateman. He was raised in Andrews, SC where he received his education and receive tremendous skills of masonry. He was united in marriage to Cleyo Snow- Bateman on June 1st 1955 and out of that union was born Frank Sr, (Gloria) Dwayne, Sheila Bateman-Boney (Reggie) Timothy, and they later took in and raise Lashanda and Jordan Spencer. After their union they moved to New Castle, DE and worked diligently to provide for his family. Eddie was a brick mason, fisherman, gardener, mechanic, hunter and was very known for his BBQ. He was a jack of all trades. Eddie was known as the Church father of Bible Fellowship. He was very well known and liked by just about everyone he encountered. As a southern man Bubba didn't restrict himself to traveling. He had the opportunity to move and live in Syracuse, NY, Homestead & Florida City, FL, and he continue to travel up to his transition. Eddie later moved to Wilmington, DE where he was known as the father of, Faith and Deliverance Church under the leadership of George Snow. Eddie leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Cleyo Bateman. He also leaves four children, Frank Bateman Sr. (Gloria) Georgetown, S.C, Dewayne Bateman New Castle, DE, Sheila Bateman-Boney (Reginald) New Castle, DE, Timothy Bateman (New Castle, DE) Adopted son and daughter (Jordan and LaShawnda Spencer) Twenty one grandchildren one of which proceeded him in death Dewayne Davis, Twenty -Nine great grand-children; brothers Ike (Rosalee) Bateman of Homestead, FL; sisters Betty Brooks of Homestead, FL and Annette (joe) McGee of Florence SC; sisters in law: Shirley Bateman of Homestead, FL, Mary Bateman of Wilmington, DE; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
