Dwane "Beefy" Alexander Bland

Dwane A. “Beefy” Bland was born on June 30,1980 in Wilmington, DE to Robin

Bland and Alexander Taylor. He peacefully passed on, April 17,2023.

During Beefy’s early years he attended Martin Luther King elementary school.

Then he went on to become a student at William Penn High School. He spent

most of his adult life enjoying being his mother’s caregiver all while being

employed at City Electric Supply in Wilmington, DE. During his time there he built

a very strong family bond with his manager and co-workers.

Being raised in the Riverside Community in Wilmington, De is where Beefy built

his lovable characteristics. He also developed lifelong friendships and his true

love of football.

Beefy was an avid football player, doing what he does best; being on the right

side of someone. He gained his name from his stature and being an awesome

cook. Everyone that knew him, would agree that his meals were deliciously

satisfying.

Beefy was very well known throughout Wilmington. He was a gentle giant with a

smile that would light up any room. He was the best son, brother, nephew,

cousin, and friend that we could ever ask for. To know him, is to love him; with

his ability to keep you laughing from all his jokes. He had a way of always making

you feel very comfortable in his presence because of his cool and laid-back

demeanor.

Dwane was a wonderful, compassionate, empathic, involved, and dependable

father. Josiah and Alana were his heartbeat. He loved them and his brother

unconditionally. However, the love for his mother was undeniably special.

Dwane is proceeded in death by his grandmother Phyllis ‘Pue” Purnell, great

aunt Elsie Smith and aunt Patricia Bland.

He leaves his cherished memories to his mother Robin Bland, father Alexander

Taylor, son Jasiah Hayward, daughter Alana Hayward, brother Keenan Bland,

brother Marlin White Sr, special friend Michelle Scott and a host of aunts, uncles,

niece, cousins, and friends.
