Doretha LaVon Kennedy Edmondson also affectionately known as "Terri" and "Dodie" by those who loved her was the departed this life on June 16, 2005 at her home in Wilmington, Delaware. Teri was born on September 15, 1949 in Washington, DC. Terri was educated in the public school system in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, PA. She loved poetry, baking cookies and her grandchildren. Dodie loved and cherished her family. She worked as a secretary in the Washington, D.C. area until she relocated to the Philadelphia area. In Pennsylvania she was an entrepreneur until she relocated to Wilmington. Once in Delaware she became a security guard working for a well known security company. Terri was preceded in death by her parents; Alma I. and Franklin R. Littlejohn and James Kennedy. She leaves to mourn; two daughters, Tracy and Deidre; one son, Brandon; two sons-in-law, William and Gilbert; one brother, Frank; one sister-in-law, Sophie; one niece, Shanice; one nephew, Jerel; six aunts; Madella, Sheila, Carolyn, Melva, Rosetta and Mae Alice; four uncles, James, Errol, Charles, and Thomas; grandchildren, Jason, Julia, Brian Daniel, Latia, Leon, Lakitah, Brian-Jamal, Mekal, Latesah, Malakelia, Torri, Tiffany, Nidira, Howard; great grandchildren, Nasir and Jahzay; and a host of other relatives and friends.
