Age 54 of New Castle, DE died suddenly on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Monroe, NC on August 24, 1949 to George and the late Corrine Barbara-Barret of Wingate, NC. Donald was employed at I.L.A. Local 1694 for many years until his illness. He attended the Monroe, NC public schools. Donald married in 1988 to Shirley Grayned- Barrett who preceded him in death in 1998. Donald enjoyed jazz, music and carpentry. He was an all around handyman with his hands. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Grayned- Barrett; his mother, Corrine Barbara-Barrett; and stepdaughter, Teresa Mitchell. He is survived by his son, Ronald H. Barrett of Monroe, NC; daughter, Tiffany Stokes of Wilmington, DE; stepdaughters, Julie a. Moore of Claymont, DE and Sherry White-Stegall Of New Castle, DE; step-son, Greg White of Rockford, IL; brother, William "Wee-Wee" Barbara of Rockford, IL; 2 aunts, Carol Johnson of Lawrenceville, NJ and Lona (William) Burns of Monroe, NC; 1 uncle, Harold Johnson of Monroe, NC; 14 grandchildren; a host of cousins; relatives; and friendds.
