Dezret L. "Dez" Smith

Age 42 of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 3, 2003. Dezret was born on May 24, 1961 in Wilmington, DE. He was currently employed by Value City department stores. Dezret enjoyed sports; but art and singing were his passions. He graduated from Thomas McKean High School in 1979 and attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA for 2 years. Dezret was a beloved son, brother and friend. He will be best remembered as a man who enjoyed life, loved his family, was loyal and a caring friend. He will be sadly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Levoular E. Smith; his brother, Avery P. Smith; and his sisters, Renee K. Shaw and Farrell D. Pouncy. He is also survived by his brothers-in-laws, David Shaw and Anthony Pouncy; his nephew, Andrew Shaw; adopted brothers, Jay Clark and Ernest Murray; and a host of other family and friends.
