David Ervin Thomas was born on the wonderful day of May 23, 1944 through the holy union of his parents the late David and Lila Mae Thomas in Sumter, South Carolina. David transitioned to glory at his home in New Castle, Delaware on March 26, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his daughter, Carmen M. Ross (Wilmington, Delaware). David leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 40 years, Beatrice Thomas; two children, David Thomas (Wilmington, Delaware); Lenora Digsby (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), three daughters that he raised as his own, Cecilia I. Robinson Wilmington, Delaware); Pastor Sabrina R. Hughes (Larry) (Bossier City, Louisiana); Crystal B. Ross; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Francina Johnson (Wilmington, Delaware) and a host of other relatives and friends.
