Daphine Anette Scrivens was born July 18, 1952 to the late Blanche Russ and Lawrence Randy Nichols in Wilmington, Delaware. On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Daphine passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware surrounded by family and friends.
Daphine received her education in the public school system in Wilmington, Delaware. She worked at Pack and Process and then later retired from Cokesbury Village.
Daphine married the late Marvin Wayne Scrivens, Sr. and from this union, they had three sons Marvin W. Scrivens, Jr. (Angela), Shannan S. Scrivens (Nikki), and Anshay D. Scrivens, Sr. (Katanya).
They have 14 grandchildren: Joshua, Ashley, Neki, Mark Anthony, Mariah, Terri, Ayana, Gianna, Marvin W. Scrivens, III, Charles Scott, Ashanna, Shannon, Anshay, Jr., Dante, and seven great-grandchildren.
Daphine loved to play her music, dance, play cards and spend time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Blanche Russ and father Lawrence Randy Nichols and her twin sister Maxine Estella Miles.
Daphine leaves to cherish her memory her children Marvin W. Scrivens, Jr., Shannan Scrivens and Anshay Scrivens, Sr; her sisters Thea Howard, Joyce Hemmingway and Linda Fews; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Previous Events
