Daamon Lamontte Simmons

August 25, 1981 — May 13, 2021

Daamon LaMontte Simmons was the first-born child to the late Carl R. Trammell and Judith M. Simmons on August 25, 1981. He departed this life on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

Daamon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Flora Batson and maternal grandparents, Herman Simmons and Sylvia Simmons. Daamon attend public schools in Wilmington, Delaware the last being A. I. Dupont High School. He also attended Delaware Technical Community College. Before his illness, he worked at both Raymour & Flanigan Furniture Store and Johnny Janoski Furniture Store.

On September 28, 2013 Daamon married Robyn Cook. Daamon was a gentle giant who enjoyed playing video games, especially Tom Clancy's Rainbow Spy Series. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan. He loved spending time with his God-daughter, Sadie. To know Daamon was to love him. He will be deeply missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Robyn Simmons, his mother Judith (Judy) Simmons, His Step-mother, Lesley Trammell, brothers: Reynaldo Simmons of Wilmington, Delaware, David Sciubba (Gina) of Ramsey, New Jersey, sisters: Gabriele Trammell and Erica Trammell of Elkton, Maryland, God-daughter Sadie Word, God-parents, Kenneth and Marsha Hairston, Aunts, Arrie McAlister and Shelva Simmons of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Karen Watson of Newark, Delaware, Jennifer Parker (Tyrone) of Seaford, Delaware and Denise Lenoir (Emmitt) of Wilmington, Delaware. Great Aunts: Nancy Bratcher of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Annie Brinkley of Charlotte, North Carolina, Uncles: Jeffrey Simmons (Theresa) of New Castle, Delaware and Jerry Baston of New Castle, Delaware. Special friends Phyllis Brown, Ashley Word, Colleen Sendlinger, Eric and a host of other relatives and friends.


Memories are things that death cannot steal.
Death leaves a heartache, only time can heal.
Some may forget him, now that he is gone.
But we will remember, no matter how long.
