Charles Edward Porter, Jr.

Charles Edward Porter Jr of New Castle Delaware was born December 5th 1964 in Wilmington, DE to Linda Brown & Charles Porter Sr. He transitioned from this life on December 23rd, 2024.

He received his education in Chester, PA, graduating from Chester High School. Soon after high school he enlisted in the United States Navy as a cook from 1983 to 1986. He often bragged about becoming a blue nose & a shell back. Which means he traveled above the equator and below it. He worked many small jobs from cooking to painting and building. He was a self taught artist who eventually sold his paintings to people that loved his artwork and to businesses that needed designs.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory his wife Tanlynne ‘Toi’ Porter, mother Linda Brown; his five children Jamar, Nicole, Shareef (Alyssa), Malik, and Shakerrah; ten grandchildren, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and a host of nieces, nephews , family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Porter Sr, his stepfather Raymond Brown, his son Chance Porter, his brother Paris Griffin, his sister Charlette , and grandsons Ny’Ziere and Ny’Zjon.
