Charles Arthur Bratcher, age 60, departed this life at Hillside Center on the evening of Tuesday November 27, 2018. The son of James W. Bratcher Jr. and Lillian M. Bratcher. He was born in Wilmington, DE on April 29, 1958. Young "Sonny" was educated in the Red Clay School District. Attend Wilmington High School. In his 20s he began a career at PNC Bank as a Computer Technician. He remained with the company until his retirement 30 years later. Sonny was well liked in the community. He enjoyed telling stories and sparking conversations with new people. His siblings would call him a bit of a conversationalist of sorts. He enjoyed watching movies or binge watching humorous TV shows. He loved to tinker with gadgets and rebuild devices. Sonny appreciated a home cooked meal. He would make the meal preparer feel like they were a world renowned chef and it was the best meal he ever consumed. He enjoyed being around children. In his later years he attempted to master social media and online gaming. He was excited that technology allowed him to stay up to date and communicate with family. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Robert S Black Sr. His memory will live on through his daughter Heather Dillard. His siblings James "Jimmy" Saunders, David "Butch" Black, Rose "Sister" Wilkins (Matthew), Donald G Bratcher, John P Bratcher (Bonnie) and Betty A Tiller (Elgin). A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
