Carlos Ramone Monteiro

December 28, 1961 — June 7, 2020

Carlos Ramone Monteiro was born on December 28, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA to Rudolph and Flora Monteiro. He went home to the Lord on June 7, 2020.

Carlos, like his siblings, attended parochial school from 1st through 12th grades at St. Vincent de Paul and Cardinal Dougherty High School. He then attended LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Carlos was always very active growing up. He enjoyed swimming at Pickett School's pool, playing tennis, golf and basketball. Another great past-time was playing board games and watching Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin movies with his family. He was a music lover and played the Viola in the high school orchestra, and also played piano. There were many days where he and his sister Maria would have "jam" sessions in their living room with Carlos on the viola and Maria on the piano and cello. He loved listening to jazz and going to concerts. One of his favorite artists was Al Jarreau.

Carlos was a loving and dedicated husband to his wife Morita. They met in 1988 and was married on June 30, 1990. They enjoyed 30 years of marriage in the beautiful suburbs of Delaware. They traveled together to many vacation destinations such as Hawaii, Portugal, Morocco, Spain, St. Bartts, St. Martin, St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Jamaica and many others. Carlos had a strong work ethics and took pride in his work. He enjoyed working as a Company Controller at Del Fasco Inc. for many years before joining his last employer Dr. Schar International where he appreciated the camaraderie of his co-workers. Carlos continued to enjoy playing the piano and listening to jazz and classical music. During his leisure time, he enjoyed playing golf and pool with his friends and family and loved watching movies, eating popcorn and drinking ice cold coca-cola with Morita at home.

He is survived by his wife, Morita, mother Flora, sisters Lurlene (Evan) and Maria (John), Brothers Ricardo (Eloise), Anthony (Jacqueline), Joseph (Juanita), and Peter (Joanne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, cousins and in-laws who adored him immensely.

"Carlos a believer of God - Rather than mourn the absence of his flame, let us celebrate how brightly it burned."
