Brendyne J. Newman Sr.

Brendyne J. Newman, Sr. was born October 31, 1988 in Chestertown, Maryland and entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ashley Jones-Newman, whom he cherished and loved dearly. He was the son of Dorthia Brown and the late James Thomas Newman, Sr.

Brendyne attended Mt. Pleasant High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He was formerly employed at FedEx, Amazon and Burlington Coat Factory. He was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed dancing with his brother Cory.

Brendyne was a devoted father and adored his daughter Taraji Jones and sons Brendyne J. Newman, III and Brendyne J. Newman, Jr. who preceded him in death. It was important to him to continue his legacy, so he gave both of his sons his namesake.

Brendyne was predeceased by his son Brendyne Newman, Jr., and father James Newman, Sr.
Brendyne is survived by his brothers Cory Newman, James T. Newman, Jr., and Emmanuel Newman; sisters Tia Newman and Miranda Brown; grandmothers Gloria L. Brown and Margaret Newman; grandfather William Thomas Newman; aunts Gloria R. Johnson, Shelly Turner, and Yvette Brown; uncle William Thomas Newman, Jr.; and a host of relatives and friends.
