Brenda Margaret Broadnax was born on March 19, 1952, to the late Eleanor Preston and Arthur Preston Sr., in Wilmington, DE. She gained her heavenly wings on July 22, 2021, peacefully in the Seasons Hospice.
She received her early education from St. Mary's Catholic School and later graduated from De La Warr High School in 1970.
In her earlier years, Brenda worked for Pack-n-Process and Hillside Nursing Home. Since Brenda loved helping people so much, she then begin to work at Community Systems where she worked with mentally challenged adults until she retired after 26 years.
Brenda will always be remembered for her very outgoing personality. She loved spending time with her family and talking on the phone with her friends. She also loved to take trips with her sisters and give her grandchildren nicknames.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Shelly R. Broadnax. She leaves to cherish her memories: Tania Brown (Brundon), James Ward (Sondrea), two sisters: Mary Berry, Georgianna Wells, 1 brother: Larry Wells, 6 grandchildren: Sataeya, Kareem, Timothy, Ciani, James Jr., Javia, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
