Bonita M. Davis (Richardson) was born on September 28, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late P. Elizabeth and Perry L. Davis, Sr. She departed this life on February 15, 2021 at Christiana Hospital with her daughter by side. Lady BEE as she was affectionately known, received her early education in the Wilmington public school system. She was united in holy matrimony to Lawrence Richardson to whom she is still married. Lady BEE held many jobs as a childcare worker and food service worker, amongst other achievements, then retiring from Brandywine School District. Lady BEE would always greet people with "I got my ears on, talk to me" and end a conversation with "I Love you, Lady BEE out". Lady BEE was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rev. Perry L. Davis, Jr. and sisters Dorothy "Teenie" Lloyd and Jerilyn Marshall amongst nieces and nephews. Lady BEE leaves to cherish her memory daughter Ruth "Mickie" Hall, son Harvey H. Johnson; 5 grandchildren Nicole Martin, Roscoe D. Martin, Richard L. Martin(Tiffany), Donesha K. Martin and Destinee Bowe; 26 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; 2 sisters Mary Ellen Benson, Patty Benson; 7 brothers Francis "Pee-Wee" Roy, her twin Brinton "Sahib", Kenneth "Senusi", Ronald "Doc", Melvin "Skippy", Robert "Spider", Richard "Freeze"; 5 sisters-in-law Carolyn Roy, Pamela, Doris, Trudy and aunt Doris Reeves; 1 brother-in-law James "Jay" Benson; aunt Verdie Benson, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; 2 devoted daughters Dawn Tucker and Aisha Favors and a very special devoted son James "Batman" Cotton. Lady BEE will forever be missed but never forgotten. Her legacy lives through her children and grandchildren.
