Bennie Dell Jefferson

Bennie Dell Jefferson was called home by the Angels on May 15, 2020 at 7:33am where many of her family
and friends were at the gate awaiting. Her father and mother John Felix Sr. and Rhodesta Baskett-Nobles
and step mother Mary Nobles, along with her husband Ollie Jefferson Sr. and her grandson O'zion
Steven Jefferson.

Bennie Dell Jefferson was born October 24, 1927 in North Augusta, S.C.

She attended Schofield High school in North Augusta where she graduated. Bennie Dell had a very pure
spirit which she shared with her siblings Fannie (Alvin) McKie of Marlton, N.J., Katherine (Howard)
Burton of Brooklyn, NY, Rhodesta (Sister), Katie Mae-Yogi (Walter) Bright New Castle, DE, Alice Holmes,
James (Skeet), Thomas Elliot (Bubba), Eddie N. and John(Smoke) F. Nobles preceded her in death. She
became the mother to them all in her young years. Bennie had such a kind, nurturing, sympathetic,
infectious smile and a jovial laugh.

Being one of God's children, Bennie was blessed to meet the love her life Ollie Jefferson Sr. while
tending to her siblings in her teenage years. They were later united as one union on October 6, 1947.
Ollie and Bennie headed onto New York in 1958 from South Carolina to begin a new life when the time
was right.

To this union created, 2 children were born. Ollie (Larissa) Jefferson Jr. of New Castle, DE and
Ronnie(Michelle) Jefferson of Brooklyn, NY. At this time, she began a career as a Teacher's Aide at the
Learner's Haven Daycare Center in Brooklyn, NY where she later retired October 31, 1997. Bennie loved
to spend quality time with her family, playing cards, dancing, and cooking but most important was her
family and her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory and will be dearly missed by her
devoted sons Ollie Jr. and Ronnie, her daughter-in - law Larissa, sisters, brothers, 4 grandchildren
Amanda, Ollie lll, and O'Naja, a host of nieces,nephews other relatives and friends.
