His coworkers loved him dearly and characterized Butch as a "gentle giant". Butch also earned many acknowledgements as Employee of the Month and always exceeded expectations. He made friends easily and even the nursing staff at Emory University Hospital enjoyed his company. Butch was a standout basketball player at the former Wilmington High School. Butch's friends are too numerous to mention ..They all loved him dearly and Butch will be sorely missed.
