Aliyah Ahvi Nelson, second child of Alonzo Nelson, and Lariyah Hawkins
was born on October 12, 2023. She departed this life on July 4, 2024, at St.
Christopher Hospital for Children.
Aliyah was a happy baby girl. She loved her big brother Dante. Aliyah was
affectionately known as “Li-Li”. She attended Little Steps Daycare. Li-Li
loved to watch Gracie’s Corner, clapping her hands and eating popsicles.
She just grew her first two chicklets (teeth), but that never stopped her from
eating anything.
Li-Li was loved by all, even her daycare family. When Aliyah wasn’t
watching Gracie’s Corner, she would be wrestling with her brother who
loved his baby sister. Dante would make her laugh out loud. Family always
came by to see her. Aliyah is loved by all and missed by many.
Aliyah is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Aunyea Hawkins,
maternal great grandfather William Suber, and paternal great grandmother
Joan Evans, whom she never met until now.
Aliyah leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Alonzo Nelson, and Lariyah Hawkins, her big brother Dante Evans, maternal great grandmother, Merna Hawkins Suber(Edward), paternal grandparents, Damion Evans (Lashele), and April Dobson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
