Akeem Smith

Akeem Jabar Smith AKA "Bizz" born February 2, 1987 to Beth Anita Smith, and the late Ernest "Peter" Murray. Akeem attended the Mt. Pleasant School System, in Wilmington Delaware class of 2005. Akeem was previously employed at the Delaware Park and Casino as a Security Officer for several years, he enjoyed doing Security work. Akeem was a very private, but happy person, who always like cracking jokes, and loved spending time with his daughter whom was the love of his life.
Akeem had a love for sports, he loved playing basketball, video games, fantasy football and he was a BIG Dallas Cowboy fan. Football season was his life, he looked forward to the Thanksgiving Day game every year helping his Mom cook and hoping his team (The Dallas Cowboys) wins. Akeem enjoyed listening to music as well as working with the youth, where he assisted in the summer youth programs. To know Akeem, was to love him.
Akeem was preceded in death by his stepfather Ernest Peter Murray, grandparents, Roger Sr. and Willene Little, and Charles L ."Buddy" Ledbetter Jr. Akeem leaves to cherish his memory, his precious daughter Amiya Dayjia Smith and her mother Shay Mears, mother Beth Anita Smith, brother Cornelius K. Smith (Tiera), grandmother Caroline Smith, step-brothers, step sisters, Godfather James Porter, 2 friends whom he considered his brothers, Andrew Heller and Josh Hearn, 3 close friends Darius Williams, Tish Jones and Clarence Penn, a special (step brother) LaMar Mcelveen,, a special step sister Na'Keem Brown, a of host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
