Leroy Sylvester Duker

October 11, 1947 — April 22, 2023

Leroy was born October 11, 1947 in Townsend Delaware to the late Francis and Ella Duker. Leroy (Lee) received his early education at Louis L. Reding Comprehensive School Middletown, Delaware. After, school he was drafted into the Army in 1968 he fought in the Vietnam war. Upon returning home he was employed by the City of Newark for 36 years. He married the love of his love Delores 52 years of being together. Leroy (bro. Duker) was a faithful member of Ringgold Chapel A.M.E. He had many hobbies and interest. Hunting, fishing, barbecuing, working on cars, and grass cutting. He was that type of person that was willing to help no matter what time it was day or night. He will truly be missed. Leroy (Lee) was preceded in death by dad Francis Duker, mother Ella Duker, sisters Edith Raison, and Harriett Duker brother James, Ephraim Charles, and Jonas Duker. Leroy was loved and much appreciated by all. His footstep is one of a kind. We will always share the great memories he left behind. The family has lost a true gem. Leroy is survived by his loving wife Delores, children Darryl Raison (Joyce) Rashanda, LaRoya. Grandchildren Kia Cal, Adrionna Christy, ZaQuan, Shakeyrah Rosario, Ciara Black, Marquita Black. Great nephew that he raised (Mere-Mere). 5 Great grandchildren, special adopted 1 Jadien Garnett (JJ). Sisters Ros Young (George) Carolyn Evans. Mary Duker and Carla Jackson. Brothers Calvin, Carlton (Renee). Eugene (Trene) 2 sister in laws Pearl Raison, Elaine Warrick. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, and family and friends. We know that God knows best so Husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather go on and take your rest. We loved you but God loves you best. Take your wings. Till we meet again. Gone but not forgotten, so when you think of him think about the good times, think of all the laughter you shared and all the stories he told. Gone yet not forgotten, although we apart your spirit lives within us Forever in our hearts.
