Georgia E. Rogers "Miss Georgia" Of Wilmington, Delaware, departed this life on Friday, January 2, 2004 at her residence. She was born February 10th in Buena Vista, GA. to the late, Elder Jerry and Ozie Lee B. King. She was educated in the public school system of Buena Vista, GA. She was united in holy matrimony to the late, Alexander M. Rogers, Sr. they shared a blessed union. Georgia was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Willie James King and Elder M. King. She leaves to cherish her memory her beautiful, loving children; Sherry L. McKinney, Gail McKinney-Rogers, of Tallahassee, FL., David L. McKinney(Shirley), Sandra Elaine McKinney, Elizabeth Rogers, Leslie Mitchell(Clarence), of Stone Mountain, GA., Alexander M. Rogers, Jr., of Stanton Island, NY, Carolyn Warren, Betina Ford; 8 grandchildren; her sibling, Lillian L. McBride(Willie, Georgia's Godfather), Frank R. King(Ima), Adell D. Burton(Ben), Leon King(Sharon), of Castro Valley, CA.; Ethel King Evans; and 1uncle, Samuel Redden; nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as "My Aunt Georgie", and many other relatives and friends.
