Evelyn E. Moore was born on October 7, 1934 in Hopewell, Virginia to Hobert and Lillie Marsh. She departed this earthly life to continue rejoicing and serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday June 19,2020 at her home in New Castle, Delaware. Evelyn was raised by her aunt Lottie Patterson and received her early education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware. She received her high school diploma from James H. Groves Adult High School She was employed by Bancroft Elementary School in Wilmington as a Kitchen aid and eventually retired from there after many years of service. Evelyn Marsh and George Moore were were united in holy matrimony on November 20, 1955. From this union Evelyn and George were blessed with five beautiful children: Wendell E. Moore of Bear,De; Sheryl D. Moore of New Castle, De; Bryant C. Moore (Jackie) of Wilmington, De; Samuel D. Moore of New Castle, De. and Michael L. Watson of Wilmington, De. She is also survived by four daughters-in-law, three of which she was extremely close to and considered daughters: Jackie Moore of Bear, De; Liz Watson of New Jersey and Carol Moor of Wilmington, De. Evelyn is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Evelyn was a faithful member of Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She served as a communion steward, an early member of the kitchen committee and was actively involved in visiting the sick and shut in of Coleman with her beloved husband George. In addition to her parents and her beloved aunt Lottie Patterson who raised her, Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband and spiritual partner George E. Moore, two brothers Joe and Charles Marsh and her son Michael L. Watson. She is survived by her four brothers David Marsh of New Castle, De, Eugene Marsh of Baltimore, Md, Hobert Marsh of Philadelphia, Pa and Steve Marsh of Philadelphia, Pa.
Evelyn's favorite past time was spending moments with her family sharing the grace and mercy of Christ with them.
